Founder, Joan Condlin, founded the studio in 1972. She has taught dance in both Syracuse and Rochester, and served as choreographer for local high school and theater productions. Joan, a native of Rochester, began dancing at age 3.
She appeared in local television broadcasts, later entertained with the USO and danced on stage in solos and in chorus lines.
Joan is a pupil of the "Pied Piper of Dance" Al Gilbert, and uses Gilbert's foundation of graduated levels of dance technique. Joan also studied with Luigi, Jack Stanley, Danny Hoctor and Joe Tremaine while in New York City. Joan's students have captured numerous awards at regional and national competitions.
Owner/Director, Mary Carrow, was trained at the Center of Ballet & Dance Art. She has studied dance for more than thirty years and has taught at the studio since 1981.
Mary's credits include study with Rod Rodgers (Syracuse Opera), Gary Gregory (CNY Gymnastics), Liverpool Community Chorus (Phil Lambrinos), the Sterling Renaissance Fair, and workshops featuring Al Gilbert.
Mary choreographs for and travels with the competition team.
